Welcome to your introduction to ‘Tantalus Antiques’, Troon. A local antiques shop providing antiques and services to a local, national and international market.

Iain Sutherland has owned and operated the business since conception in 1995. The business started, as many do, operating from a home based office. After year one, the business moved to store workshop premises in the centre of Troon, Ayrshire. ‘Tantalus’ operated from this workshop for two years before identifying retail premises in the heart of the town. This building proved to be one of ‘Tantalus Antiques’ largest restoration projects. The property started out in 1820 as a tailors shop……………….. etc

However, unfortunately when we took on the building it was, to put it mildly, derelict. The restoration project took full action in 1999 and by the end of the project, we had a new home for ‘Tantalus Antiques.’

This is carried out using the most appropriate contractors in each given case to ensure an economic price without compromising standards. Postage and Packing will be charged at a base cost.
